►September 27th & 28th, 2007

ARIZONA CFI CHAPTER IS WHERE THINGS ARE HAPPENING.....
 
On September 27th & 28th The AZ CFI Chapter had Mr.. Steve Marsh teach a 2 day IICRC Upholstery Cleaning Course to 7 local carpet cleaning technicians.  Steve is an outstanding instructor and all the guys really enjoyed his approach to learning more about cleaning upholstery the correct professional way.
Also, on the evening of the 27th AZ CFI had a chapter meeting.  They brought in 2 people form M&I Bank to show all the new programs they have for all the business owners and their employee's.  The the main speaker was Christy Strauch from "Clarity to Business" she talked about the importance of having a business plan & visions not only for your business, but also for your personal life.  Everyone that was at the meeting really enjoyed what Christy brought to them to use in their business and personal life's.  If you ever get a chance to hear her somewhere you will not want to miss out on the opportunity, she is awesome. 
All of this could not have happened if it wasn't for Norma McCormick @ Norma's Fine Oriental Rug Cleaning.  Both the two day Upholstery Class and the AZ CFI Chapter Meeting was held at Norma's place.  It's too bad you weren't there!  Norma has a great oriental in house cleaning plant, that you got to see.  The food, drinks, and snacks for both days were also great!
Now you know why things are happening with CFI!!

►Recent Arizona Chapter Meeting, March 21

CFI Arizona Chapter held its 1st Chapter meeting of 2006 on Tues. March 21.  The location was at Butler’s Dry Cleaning Plant, owned by Steve & Karen Butler.  Over 17 business owners and employees attended.  Karen & Steve Butler gave us a tour of their plant and explained how each fire/water pack out of clothing items are handled from the start to the finish.

Then Rueben Aviles from ABATIX® gave a demonstration on new Flir infra-red cameras, Bcam and the B2.  These cameras detect moisture, water leaks and other possible problems without incurring any demolition.

ABATIX® sponsored the event with subs & soft drinks.  They gave away a Saws All as a door price.  The lucky winner was Bob Taylor from A-1 Carpet Service.  Congratulations Bob – very nice door prize.
